Sonarr/Radarr is more for the automated type of thing but FileBot get things done if you want a quick and easy way to do it. Unless there is an easier way I always had to add the Movie/Show to Sonarr/Radarr, then I had to copy the folder name and create it in the destination directory that they will put the finished and renamed stuff in, create the folder, move all of the files into the folder and then had to scan the disk so that Sonarr/Radarr will update its UI and know that there are media files available and then click organize. If you just need to rename folders and files then it is much easier to do that in FileBot than in Sonarr/Radarr because you just open FileBot load the files, match and rename them. Sonarr/Radarr provide a lot more that you might not need like the whole indexing and downloader part of them. This is from the history list of filebot as I fixed this yesterday. Amazon's order of married with children doesnt match TVDB, so all I had to do was drag the files around within the filebot gui to get it renamed properly. Here is an example of a mismatch that was easy to catch. It’s significantly faster that I rather rename through filebot, I’ll end up importing it either way, but knowing the chance of an error is much smaller is nice for shows that have various releases and orders.Īlso what is nice is if you mess up, all renaming is in the history list so you can quite often undo mass edits very fast. Filebot is still overall faster, but not as necessary. It does the job great as well, but those aren’t a hassle to deal with. I think they’re adding it but they use to not have that for shows unless there were two different years of identically names shows. Want to add certain details like the year, or put “the” of a show at the end before the year? No problem. Anime that has episodes 1-500? Drop in filebot, click “plex season/episode” script and it preview the output, with episodes split up by season.
